So, Earth Day is coming up in a couple of weeks. A chance to reflect on lifestyle choices and how they affect the growing concerns we as a society and as individuals face in regard to both environmental and health issues. Choosing to ride your bicycle on a regular basis is one of the best things that you can do for yourself and the world around you. Take advantage of the beautiful weather, the trails (and sidestreets), and the feeling of passing the Family Fare without shelling out fifty bucks for a tank of gas.
On Earth Day, Sunday, April 22, there will be a festival by Central Park, complete with a blocked off “Open Streets” bike and pedestrian zone. Tip-Top Cycles will be hanging out along the Open Streets route, most likely in front of the old Viking Orthotics space. We’ll provide free safety checks and home repair advice, as well as a learn-to-change-a-tire clinic all between 12 and 3 pm. Come hang out with us, listen to music, and get your bike going once and for all!
